Description

Accurate magnetic field calibrations over a broad range of fields are essential for a number of applications ranging from applied to fundamental, for example the muon g-2 measurement. Calibration with high-purity H2O NMR has been a standard for fields above a few 1/10's T while recent advances with 3He optical magnetometry promise more accurate and more precise calibration over a broad range of fields. To realize the full potential of 3He magnetometry and applications, a number of issues should be discussed and addressed including magnetometer design and construction for specific ranges of magnetic field, systematic effects, and the gyromagnetic ratio of atomic 3He.

This workshop intends to bring together a sustainable community to discuss the experimental and theoretical challenges of absolute magnetometry with 3He and applications to fundamental and applied science.

In addition to local participation (encouraged), remote particaption via Zoom will also be facilitated.
